Focusing on the northern parts of Europe, LIVIND brought together both national and grass-root level experts and active persons. The LIVIND project was the first project in this scale in the field of intangible cultural heritage in Northern Europe.
The project area referred to the geographical scope of the Northern Dimension Region* and thus strengthened cooperation among different actors from the nine countries: the Nordic countries including the autonomous areas, the Sámi area, the Baltic countries, and Poland.
